SUMMARY:Amber Joy Poulton plus special guest Michaela Jenke
DESCRIPTION:AMBER JOY POULTON \nAmber Joy Poulton has kept true to her promise & love of country music’s old school feel with her new album Pretty Pennies & forever channels her idols Loretta Lynn\, Tammy Wynette\, Patsy Cline & Dolly Parton when writing & performing.  \n\nCountry music fans will love these news songs that evoke her thoughtful song-writing process where Amber joined forces once more with her producer & co-writer Sam Hawksley and new co-writing partner\, SA singer/songwriter Kelly Brouhaha. There are many surprises on this album including an autobiography of AJ’s life so far with “Goodbye From Me” & “Ruby’s Reply” a very special song that has been 10 years in the making & inspired by her favourite American male artist\, Kenny Rogers’ hit Ruby\, Don’t Take Your Love To Town. \n\nAmber Joy is possessed by how country music used to be & this revealing fourth original album adds to her versatility alongside her two tribute albums. She has toured extensively throughout Australia & overseas with Nashville\, Norfolk Island & the high seas aboard Cruisin Country for three extraordinary cruises as well as her yearly trek to Tamworth & country music festivals like Boyup Brook\, Gympie Muster\, Mildura\, Horsham\, Riverland & more but it’s her touring the country with theatre show Coal Miner’s Daughter that has garnered fans from every performance with her astounding ability to put down the song writing cap & take on the role of Loretta Lynn in theatres all over Australia.   \nHer performances are funny\, moody & tongue in cheek with little redemption for those who have wronged in the killer lyrics. Her songs breathe Patsy\, Dolly & Tammy & have all the charm of a by-gone era\, to which she feels aligned. \n  \nMichaela Jenke plus Reid Sampson\n\n“A dose of “Authentic country with attitude”! \nMichaela’s debut EP\, ‘Diamonds Outta Dirt’ (2017)\, was recorded and produced by one of Australia’s most respected musicians\, Bill Chambers. Since then she has caught the eye of numerous big names in the Australian country music scene; having performed with and supported artists including; Catherine Britt\, Adam Harvey\, Amber Lawrence\, Andrew Swift\,\nBill Chambers plus many more. \nMay 2020 saw Michaela team up with Melbourne alt country outlaw\, Gareth Leach for the release of their duet collaboration\, ‘My Crime’. The song debuted at #3 on the iTunes Country Chart. \n\nMichaela has worked hard to study and explore her craft; having graduated from the CMAA Senior Academy of Country Music (2017)\, winning the Tamworth CMF Coca-Cola Battle of The New Stars (2018)\, & has hosted her own radio program ‘Counter Country’\, on her local community radio station (2018-2020). \nEarly 2021 will see Michaela step into the studio to record brand new music\, with singles to be released later this year. And here’s one now!! \n\nGemma Louise\nThis year we offered an Emerging Artist Scholarship to eight of 25 applicants. In addition to music business mentorship with artist Kelly Brouhaha\, sound tips from engineer John Simpson and venue tips from owner Mike Roberts\, scholarship winners get to perform a couple of songs at the start of a show. We are really looking forward to hearing Gemma Louise kick off this magic night at The Barn at Wombat Flat! \n\nGemma Louise is a young country singer from the outskirts of the Clare Valley\, South Australia. Gemma was the recipient of the much sought after ‘Len and Lorraine Wakefield memorial award’. This is a monetary scholarship from the Adelaide Country Music Club\, which has enabled Gemma to pursue her music career. Cleaning up the country music awards in South Australia\, Gemma won multiple categories at the Barmera Country Music Festival\, Burra Country Music Festival\, Laura Country Music Festival and The Aristocrats Talent Quest at the Tamworth Country Music Festival. Her debut original music will be released at the end of 2021.  \nOur feature visual artist: Kerryn Hocking\n\nAnimals\, drawing and painting have been Kerryn’s lifelong passions. \nShe began drawing horses\, which then led to a deeper interest and respect for all other animals and their inter-relationships. \nKerryn believes colour\, light\, nature\, plants and animals can bring so much pleasure if one takes the time to notice. \n\nHer art is directed towards bringing attention to the necessity for protecting all living plants and animals. She admires Nature’s remarkable diversity and hopes to encourage people towards an appreciation\, respect\, responsibility and understanding of the need to protect all of it in order for man and our planet to survive. \n\nKerryn gains as much pleasure from being with the animals and photographing them as she does painting them. Part proceeds of all sales of her work goes towards Wildlife Conservation. \nKerryn is a Committee Member of the Pastel Artists of South Australia\, co-ordinator of the Off the Slate Gallery at Willunga\, and a member of the Painters of the Flinders Ranges. She regularly exhibits at: \nPastels Artists of South Australia Exhibitions \nOff the Slate Gallery – Willunga \nPainters of the Flinders Ranges \nRotary  Art Shows \n\n\n\n  \n  \n  \n  \n\n\n\nRicca Terra Wines\, Barossa Street Food\, Eudunda Bakery goods\, beer\, soft drinks\, hot drinks for you to purchase on the night. \nNO BYO FOOD OR DRINK PLEASE. \nGates open 5:30pm / Show 7:00pm
