Emerging Artists Scholarship Winners:
This year we offered an Emerging Artist Scholarship to six applicants. In addition to music business mentorship with artist Kelly Brouhaha, sound tips from engineer John Simpson and venue tips from owner Mike Roberts, scholarship winners get to perform a couple of songs at the start of a show. We are really looking forward to hearing Poppy Moyle-Read kick off this magic night at The Barn at Wombat Flat! Plus you’ll be entertained by one of last year’s winners, Gemma Tiller, pre-show around the fires.
Poppy, is a 17 year old singer/songwriter who writes songs to help others and herself get through intense feelings. “Placing complicated thoughts into songs helps to understand these emotions. I believe that’s simply the power of music.”
